Here for your consideration is an excellent example of a classic North Carolina form and shape - the pinch jug / vase. The vase is glazed with a mustard yellow hue with a high gloss finish. There are no marks on the unglazed bottom so the maker of the piece could be any one of the North Carolina potteries. The clay has a light orange coloration to it possibly giving a clue to the origin. The vase is about 6 3/4" tall and pinched in three areas giving this round vase three different attitudes. There are no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs to the piece. Final clear coat glaze finish does show some fine crackle-form crazing. This is a very nice, classic North Carolina form which will help complete a collection or adorn a nice bookshelf somewhere.
