This is a nice piece of Victorian costume jewelry. This is a stickpin. It was mostly men that wore stickpins in their ties years ago. However today, I would say that its mostly women wearing them in their lapels. Although some classy "gents" still will wear stickpins in their ties. This stickpin has no markings, I would guess the pin to brass, with the top bezel to be a gilded brass I am not a gem expert, but I do believe that the stone is a real piece of polished agate and quite attractive. The style of this piece, material used, etc. suggests to me a circa 1890s date for this item. This piece measures approx. 2.25"x .5". It has minor, normal expected wear, some minor discorlation in the pin part and is on overall good condition for its age. I am pleased to offer this appealing stickpin for consideration. Check out my other items!
