Pottery Extruder
12 Extrudeable shapes on 3 dies are included. Mask die also included!
This extruder is like no other on Ebay.
Removeable Barrel!
For your ease of use, the steel barrel is easily removed. Simply pull on the quick release pin, and
you can remove the barrel to take it to the sink. Another thing that I like to do is once I have removed
the barrel, stuff saran wrap or tin foil on the exposed clay (on both ends) and you no longer have
to worry about cleaning everything up if you are disturbed half way through a project.
Removing the barrel also makes it very easy to load, as well as installing the dies. Although it makes it easier
to clean, the easiest way to clean any extruder is to simply run a piece of canvas through the extruder when you
are done. It will push all but a thin layer of clay out the bottom of the extruder, leaving only a thin film that will
dry. Once dry, it can be tapped with a hammer and should fall right out reasonably well.
Two Part Handle!
The extruder has a two part handle. This makes it nice for larger extrusions where you don't need a lot of force,
but do need the use of your hands to guide the extrusion. No more large clumsy handle in your way when you don't
need it. Of course, when you need to push out some small coils, you can always throw the handle extension on.
Assortment of Die Shapes
The dies included are as follows: Round Coils (3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4"), Pressed Coil (a little over 3/8"), Four Ribbon
coils and a small mismatch of different shapes.
The dies are made out of high density polyethylene. I used to use lexan, but found that it was difficult to get a good
finish on. If you need some extra material blanks for your own custom dies, ask, I'll toss a couple in. It cuts extremely
easy with BASIC woodworking tools. With a drill, a hand held coping saw and some sandpaper, you can make any
shape you want. Don't let the expensive dies that are sold through the big box stores intimidate you. You can make
ANY shape you can draw.

About me:
I have been making these for four years. I have been playing in the mud for much longer. I started out as a potter on a
shoestring budget...making my own equipment. My wife bought me a class at an art center for my birthday.
I've had at least one room of the house covered in mud since. To date, I have made extruders, slab rollers,
kilns, electric and treadle style potters wheel and even a pug mill (though the latter does not work well). I have sold
well over 100 of these on Ebay. Here is what some people have said:
