 Old Authentic = M (Moss) = Norwegian fishing glass float/buoy 3"

 

    Item description:

   This clear glass float is an old authentic working buoy that was found in the Østfold area, Norway. It is marked as embossed 'M' on its seal. This float was made at Moss Glassworks, which was operating in the period 1898-1988. The size of the float is approx. 3 inches (the baseball size) in diameter. Clear floats from the Moss Glassworks are not often to come across. With fiber netting of great condition. There are no damages on it, no cracks but there is a small chip-off around the sealing button and some tiny scratches plus a couple of scuffs on it due to its use at sea. Very beautiful glass buoy!

Will make a nice addition to your collection and a stunning maritime decoration!
