This is a lovely new addition to my very diverse selection of elegant and unusual lamp finials. This one is a darling cloisonne' carousel horse made exactly like they have been making cloisonne' for hundreds of years in the Orient. They make a decorative design out of tiny brass wires and then fill in the spaces with enamel coloring and then fire the whole thing, posssibly several times, for durability. This one is in the style of the carousel horses of many years ago when the carousel had many different animals (lions and tiger and bears, OH MY!!) and not just horses. If there are only horses, it's just a merry-go-round. He's 2-3/4" tall x 1-7/8" long x 1/2" thick and that includes the 3/16" threaded brass swivel base that allows you to place him in the perfect position on your lamp for maximum visibility. These looks really cute in a child's room and of course, they keep your lampshade in place and add much more elegance and interest to any lamp than that boring little brass cap that most lamps come with.

You might want to take a look at the risers or extenders that I also sell. These can be added to the bottom of the finial for extra height, so your finial will show better, above the top of your lampshade. They come in 1" and 2" sizes for $1.00 and $1.50 respectively.
