Thank you for visiting the online auction to benefit the campaign to protect one of the world’s greatest fishing and hunting destinations – Alaska’s famed Bristol Bay. This region is home to the world’s largest runs of wild Pacific salmon as well as the best trophy rainbow trout fishing on the planet. Anglers come to pursue those fish as well as Dolly Varden, arctic char, arctic grayling, lake trout, and pike. Hunters visit southwest Alaska to hunt caribou, moose, and bear. This area is truly a sportsman’s paradise, but unfortunately it’s in great peril. Multinational mining corporations are proposing to turn this remote, fish and game-rich area into a massive mining district complete with huge open pits, toxic tailings lakes, and some of the largest dams in the world.

Your support via this auction or direct donations will help wage the battle necessary to fight for Bristol Bay. Durability is an integral design element to developing premium waders. The most durable fabric in the world, however, achieves little when comfort, breathability, and freedom of movement are neglected. The new Cloudveil 8x Pro Wader utilizes brand new GORE-TEX® Pro Shell fabric. GORE-TEX® Pro Shell boasts significant improvements over the previous GORE-TEX® Immersion® fabric, with specific attention given to creating a more durable fabric in a lighter package. GORE-TEX® Pro Shells are engineered with the most rugged, most breathable, durably waterproof and windproof fabrics for extended and extreme conditions.

Gore-Tex® Pro Shell construction certifies our premium wader for repeatedly rugged use. Five-layer front panels resist punctures from brush, branches and logs while a three-layer ripstop upper lets the body breathe as temps rise. Pass-through and top-down pockets sit above the waterline to keep hands warm and flies dry. Anatomical neoprene booties ensure a true fit, a gusseted crotch reduces seam stress and Schoeller® gravel gaiters keep out grit. The gapless three-point suspension system clips off easily and an elastic belt paired with drainage holes adds safety. Features full seam sealing, reinforced junctions and a field repair kit.

8x Wading Boots

Lightweight, stable, and durable: the trifecta of features that Cloudveil had on their drawing board when they set out to design the 8x Wading Boot. These boots feature an exclusive last that fits more like a trail shoe than a work boot, a rubber toe cap for durability, and exceptional torsional rigidity for a stable footprint. Included are two insoles, 4mm and 8mm to give a better fit with and without waders, and a high density felt sole for sure footed grip.

Stability, comfort and fit combine to make this boot feel good underfoot. Built for durability without adding heft, it soothes long slogs upstream, loose bank scrambles and hours standing in just the right spot. Two insoles – 4mm and 8mm – get the fit right when worn with or without waders, strong impression felt soles ensure grip and a rubber toecap stops stubs. A wide gusseted tongue keeps out grit, an oversized finger pull eases them on and sectional drainage–in the front, medial and back–gives water an easy exit. A dual-density midsole balances cushioned comfort with firm footing, and an ankle harness locks out slip or slop.
