Description: You are bidding on a really cool and exceedingly hard to find, Snoopy Collector Series mugs; we think it was unofficially called their Presidential Series. This piece is the famous #1 in the 1980 series called “Back the Beagle”. The late Charles Shultz created his famous Snoopy character we believe in 1958 and he has been a favorite for over 50 years; it is hard to believe. This mug reads; “SNOOPY, Copyright 1958 United Features Syndicate, Inc.” in small lettering to the left of the graphic. This piece was created in conjunction with the also famous Anchor Hocking Company as they created the mug itself. The Anchor Hocking maker’s mark is on the bottom of the mug. The mug is 4” tall and 3-1/8” wide at the mouth. There are no chips, stains, spoon scratches, cracks, repairs, or crazing. The mug is in a rare, excellent condition; it would be hard to find another example of this piece in better condition. The graphics and colors are as bright and beautiful as the day it was made. It appears this mug was never actually used and was kept out of the light for the past 28 years. The mug also states that it was made in the U.S.A. This outstanding collectible mug will make a great addition to your collection at a great price and will be sure to generate a lot of compliments and conversation.
