HOW DID SOPHIA COME TO BE?
Viking Husqvarna Sewing Machines celebrated the 130th anniversary of its company's history by producing two special anniversary machines which were given the royal names, Oscar and Sophia. These were made in the colors of the Swedish flag, blue and yellow, respectively. Oscar and Sophia were the king and queen of Sweden in the same year as Viking made its first sewing machine, 1872. In addition, Viking's first model (North Star) appears as a silhouette on the machine's panels. See above photo.

ABOUT THIS MACHINE...
This Viking Husqvarna Sophia is in excellent mechanical and 'like new' cosmetic condition. You can see from the photos the feet package hadn't been opened. The foot control had not been removed from the box and the electrical cords had not ever been connected. I was the first to test the machine - it is definitely a keeper! Even though it had never been used, I checked it over and tested many stitches and functions with different fabrics, just to make sure it all worked properly - and it does. It is ready for immediate use in your home or business.
I would recommend this machine for someone who loves to sew - whether they are a professional seamstress or a sewing enthusiast who likes consistent high quality results with a high-end, superior quality sewing machine.
The Viking Husqvarna Sophia has a unique feature - 25 needle Position, calibration using a dial. You can precisely adjust your needle position in any direction with the turn of a dial on the right front of the machine. This allows you to sew adjacent to your working area without moving the fabric.
