Collectors Vintage Barkcloth Grandma Moses Fabric Pics

From a Collectors Edition of specialty Grandma Moses framed pieces of textiles that were used for museum display for the infamous Grandma Moses herself. Anna Mary Robertson "Grandma" Moses started painting when she was in her 70s, capturing scenes of rural celebrations and daily life in upstate New York, where she lived most of her life. In 1940 Moses went from exhibits in rural fairs and local drugstores to exhibits in fine art galleries in Europe and the United States. Self-taught, a widow and mother of ten (only five of whom survived infancy), Grandma Moses became an American celebrity. Known for her prolific output and kindly, country persona, she was one of the most famous American folk artists of the 20th century.
Its not surprising that before long designers were using Grandma Moses trademark scenes to infiltrate America's homes with a folk allure reminiscent of life's simpler times. She shaped American Folk Art and these framed samples of her works are a bargain price for something so special. It is actual fabrics from her collection framed and labeled on the backs what they are.  I am also listing some fabulous Grandma Moses valances that are very cool too. Each picture measures 8 inches wide x 6 inches long and 1 inch thick. They have some shabby chic chippiness here and there from age...something to me just adds to what these have been through to make this this far in the world. Otherwise in excellent shape...a great collectors addition or hung in your magazine material HOME.
