This auction is for a set of four reproduction prints from U.S. Patent drawings for 1800's vintage billiard equipment. Included are drawings from:
- The June 1, 1875 patent to Hugh Collender for a Billiard Table
- The October 31, 1893 patent to George Burt for a Pool Ball
- The December 19, 1893 design patent to John Rieper for a Billiard Cue Handle
- The November 4, 1879 patent to Charles Fautz for a Billiard Cue Chalk-Block
These four drawings look fantastic together. Frame them and add a touch of historic nostalgia to your game room or office.
The most famous of these inventors is undoubtedly Hugh Collender, who in 1884 merged his Phelan Collender company with Brunswick Balke to form the Brunswick-Collender-Balke Company, shortened to simply Brunswick in the 1960's, the juggernaut of the billiards industry in America to this day.
There are four separate patent drawings included in this auction and each will be provided on artist quality, acid-free, 60-pound parchment style paper as shown above.
Prints are 8.5" by 11.0" (21.6 by 27.9 cm) in size and are ready to frame for display.
They are packaged in archive-safe, acid-free sleeves and shipped flat in a stiffened mailer to ensure safe arrival.
