CONDITION: This scarce hardback book has minor edgewear and corner bumping. No previous ownership marks, nameplates, inscriptions, etc. No hinge cracking inside or outside at neither the front nor back. All pages and covers are tight to the spine. A very solid book! The book has a basement odor due to storage; there are no signs of moisture damage. The dustjacket is not price-clipped and has minor edgewear and chipping (normal shelfwear stuff) with no major tears or other blemishes.

This book is an architectural buffs' book!! Irvin Hass, an authority on American restorations takes you on a tour of the living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens of a hundred famous homes and restored historic towns throughout the US. Also included in the architectural descriptions are a historical review of the cultural, political, economic, military or social events of the famous homes and locations.

If you are interested in authentic restorations or simply interested in a view of history, this book will be an interesting read for you. Many of the photos are either full-page or 3/4 page. All are black and white.
