I am selling my internet comic book retail site, Brightest Light Comics and Toys. Please go to www.blcomicbooks.com to view the site. This started out as a means to make supplimental income, however I no longer have the time to dedicate to adding inventory and marketing the site. I have made a modest return on a modest investment, but this site needs someone who can devote a little more time, but more importantly execute a plan to advertise and market the site to generate more frequent and repeat business. I'll be honest, without any advertising other than posting sales on ebay to drive people to the site, and posting the inventory on Google, I've made back about 70% of my initial investment over the past two and a half years.

Comic book and toy inventory currently priced at over $65,000. The comics on the site are in 17 long boxes and the toys will be shipped in as few boxes as possible. There will be more than 5000 items worth of inventory. As you can see from the site, all the comics have been graded and in hundreds of completed transactions, I've never had one person contact me to dispute a grade from a sale on the site or on ebay. You'll also get roughly 10 more long boxes of comics with Bronze Age comics, runs of popular Modern Age comics and common stock. There are additional toys included that have yet to be posted on the site. These are mostly more Star Wars and G.I. Joe toys.

Everything that has been posted on the site is documented in an excel spreadsheet that I've used to keep track of active inventory. Other documents you'll get are my financial reports over the past two and a half years. I will forward copies of these documents to serious buyers upon request.

All domain names, SSL, and hosting is paid up for through the next year. I just renewed everything in early October. ($200 value)

As you can see from browsing the site, Google Adsense (with about $40 already accumulated) has already been placed and this site does have a Google Base account which you can update continuously as you add more inventory so that all of it can be searched and found by potential customer searches on Google Shopping.

It is very easy to add inventory manually and does have a module to add inventory in bulk, using Easy Populate, yet I've never gotten it to work as I am not very tech savvy. I can give you the instructions to use this module, but I've always thought inputting the info into the database was about as easy as just putting items on individually.

This site is an authorized CGC dealer so you can send in books for yourself or for customers for a fee.

One of the biggest money makers for this site is the comics supply drop shipping account. With no cost to you and no invetory to manage, it's very simple to take oders and process them through the distributor. They ship directly to the customer from their warehouse. All you do if fill out an on-line order form and collect your money.

You'll get all the original artwork that was purchased for this site as well as some art that I've yet to have a programmer place such as a new menu bar for the front page and a new "product description" bar for the item pages. And you'll get the HTML and design work for ebay auctions...which is the unique artwork you're looking at right now inputed in HTML (you'll need Dreamweaver to operate). ($575 value)

This site has many custom modules installed to make for a smoother and more enjoyable experience, catering to the buyer. This is a buyer's site as it is the only one of it's kind and the closest customers can get to putting the comics in their hands...which is a big deal when grading comes into question. (over $1000 worth in programming costs) Everything has been done through OS Commerce, so you can turn this site into ANYTHING you want. With the right modules, you can add forums, do a blog, include video, etc.

I have to be honest and tell you that there is a glitch in the checkout system. Sometimes I get payment from paypal without an itemized description of what the customer bought. I've had a programmer try to fix the problem, but he couldn't figure it out right away, so I didn't want to pay his hourly rate to figure it out. I've been sending an email or calling customers when this happens to find out what they ordered, which was a much cheaper option. But this will eventually have to taken care of.

It couldn't be easier for anyone wanting to start up an internet business. If you wanted, you can just sit back and fill orders because so much is already done. But, like I said, you really need to promote this site for it to be a main source of income while continuously inputing inventory to keep customers interested in coming back.
