This auction is for a CD which contains the complete 35 lesson home correspondence course produced by the Chicago School of Watchmaking. Included on the CD are all 35 lesson plans as well as a separate 50 page "Tools and Materials of the Trade" section which illustrates the tools and materials required for watch repair. These lessons are extremely well written with many detailed illustrations throughout. There are over 700 detailed pages to be viewed on screen or printed out at your convenience. This course was developed so the student could learn watch repair at his/her own pace. This extremely comprehensive course covers every aspect of watch repair in a very easy to understand manner. Although originally produced in the 1950's, this lesson plan is still regarded as the most complete, easy to follow watchmaking course available. This course has been professionally scanned from the Original Lesson Plans using advanced image\text recognition software. As a result, the images and text are extremely high quality. I want to reiterate that these scans are from the Original Lesson Plans themselves, not re-scans from already photo copied material. This is a very important distinction since the difference in quality is very dramatic. This course integrates detailed illustrations throughout which aids the student in learning. If you cannot view the details of the illustrations due to poor image quality, the course is of no value. Don't hesitate to ask for a few sample pages so you can see for yourself. The files contained on the CD are in a PDF format, so Adobe Acrobat Reader (which is free to download) will be needed to view the pages. In addition, each page has a digital watermark which contains my Ebay ID and is only visible on screen. The watermark DOES NOT appear when the pages are printed out. If you would like to view a few sample pages, please send me your e-mail address and I'll be happy to send them along. Please ask any questions prior to placing a bid.
