About the Author: Mike Christiansen is a professor and Director of Guitar Studies at Utah State University. Known for his pragmatic approach to guitar instruction, he was honored as Professor of the Year at Utah State in 1994. He has written several method books and conducted numerous workshops for guitarists and educators. He has accompanied many artists on recordings, and composed and recorded radio jingles as well as music for TV and educational films. In addition to his activities as a teacher, author, recording artist, and composer-Mike performs as a soloist and with various musical groups.
