Wired vs. Wireless:
A wired camera means you will need to run wires from your recorder or monitor to your camera.  The wire usually is used to transmit both power to the camera and video from the camera. 
A wireless camera includes a internal transmitter that will send the video through the air to the provided receiver.  The receiver then will need to be connected to your recording or monitoring device via standard yellow video cable.  Depending on the camera the power may be drawn from the device, use a battery pack or the device may have a power supply just for the camera function.

Recording:
This is only a camera and does not record without the assistance of a VCR or DVR.  This camera can easily be connected to a TV or video monitor using the yellow video cable and you can view the image the camera produces. 

You have several options if you wish to record the images the camera captures.  The cheapest way to record your camera is by using computer surveillance software and hardware to connect the camera to your computer. You can purchase the equipment to do this for less than $200 There is also DVR cards that will allow you to connect your camera to your computer.  If you do not plan to use a computer you can purchase a DVR or VCR. Motion Detection:
This is a function of the recorder and not the camera.  Most CCTV recording devices provide the option to begin recording when motion is detected.

Returns:
Please inspect your item when it arrives for proper operation.  If you have an issue with operation please contact us within 3 business days to receive a RMA and arrange to have the camera returned.  Returns only accepted if item is significantly not as described or damaged upon arrival.  Most electronics have a 90 day manufacturer warranty.  If you have issues with your item within that 90 day period, contact us and we will provide warranty claims info.  We take pride in our service and the accuracy of our descriptions and will work with you whenever possible.
