Up for auction is a beautiful Concord-style banjo clock made circa 1820. Narrow throat, lower box, long sweeping side arms with head cut-out for movement. Finely finished moon-style hands, lead weight, heavy iron dial. Concord glue blocks and tie-down. The movement is secured to case from behind with one screw. Movement has twisted crutch and keystone with lower right cut-out. L turn latch operated from front of lower box. All Lemuel Curtis attributions. Repairs have been made to minute hand, right-side arm, and hinge on bezel area at top of chimney. LOW RESERVE Weights may be shipped separately. Buyer to pay shipping costs and insurance.
