The item for bid are "The State of Louisiana Civil War Bonds" Printed: February 24th, 1862.
These are 2 pairs of $1.00, $2.00, and $3.00 encapsulated currency issued by the State of Louisiana signed and dated and claimed to be "Good for U.S. and Confederate banks".
What makes this item for bid so special and "rare" is that this currency was printed on the back of unused "Real Estate pledged prewar currency for the Town of Holly Springs Mississippi. The print date of the orginal Real Estate pledged currency is unknown as it was never signed nor dated....just an "18__" where the date goes.
This is a rare piece of Confederate Currency!!!
