Conn Connstellation 38B Trumpet
Elkhart, IN vintage.
THE JAZZ HORN!
If you're looking at this auction then you know just how valuable and desirable this horn is. I have two and am planning to sell one. Here's a bit of info and pics.... since these pics I've had www.kingstonwinds.com do a valve alignment and more fine tuning. I purchased the horn and it needed some work. The bell is also a little funky but I left it like that since I didn't want to unsolder the bell and put stress on the braces. You can check my feedback for the link to the previous auction. People have said that the Connstellations were the "Monette" of the time. I completely agree as nothing sounds like a Connstellation. The sound can be dark, smoky, and intimate with a larger mouthpiece. Put a lead piece in and the sound will not stop. It's very loud, full, rich, and sustained!

I've recorded a bunch of stuff on this horn, and here's a really low-fi video of the horn in action.

Why sell? I spent a lot on the horn, shipping, and repairs. This horn does have a 3rd slide ring (not indicated on the pictures). I haven't been playing it all that much as I'm doing most of my work on my new Van Laar B4.
