Conflicting statements - hey? Not Really! I have near 2,000 vintage woodwind instruments, and at age 75, I'm finally concluding "I'll never live long enough, to enjoy them all". I have a lot of saxophones, from the 1960s down to the 1800s, that are Brand New, never buffed, never lacquered, some not ever engraved - thats got to be new enough for just about anybody. This particular Conn tenor sax, was made in 1965 (43 years ago), and was never sold, it came out of the Conn archives, and believe me it is absolutely Brand New. This one is from the end of the "Good Ones". It needs a complete buff, lacquer, and pad job. Notice I didn't say overhaul - to me an overhaul means it's been used, maybe dented, maybe loose keys, rods, pearl wear, neck strap wear, etc.. Again this sax is New - Never ever sold. It has no neck, but necks of this vintage should be easy to find. I'm starting it for sale, at only $295.00 - with a Great "Buy It Now" price of only $345.00 & NO RESERVE. Todays far inferior tenor saxes are listing at near $2,000.00! Bid now, or lose it! Also listing (seperate ad/sale) a Conn alto, of the same vintage. Take a dare and buy the pair!
