Consul the Educated Monkey Metal Toy Calculator
|
This is "Consul" The Educated Monkey. It is a metal (tin?) "calculator" that allows you to point the monkey's feet at two numbers and the hands will point to their product. The numbers range from 1 to 12, and there is a box to the right of 12 to square the number chosen. There is a patent indicator on the front (sometimes hidden under the monkey) showing the patent dates of June 27, 1916 and November 26, 1916. The metal is flat, but looks like it has been bent or crinkled is several places. There are also some scratches on the front and back. Please see the photos.
I have several other non-electric calculating devices available, so please see my other auctions. I will combine shipping, except for the three very heavy items, where it would not be practical.
Payment MUST be RECEIVED within seven (7) days of auction close. PayPal is preferred, but I will also accept money orders and personal checks, drawn on a bank in the US, (item will be held until cleared). Non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay. Fraudulent checks, including bounced checks, will be reported to the authorities.
Shipping by USPS Priority mail when payment is received, unless otherwise specified in the item description. When using PayPal I will ONLY ship to a confirmed address. Shipping cost shown is for anywhere in the US. Insurance is included in the shipping cost. Please email me for international shipping cost.
NOTE: International buyer is responsible for ALL customs charges, tariffs, and taxes, including VAT. If you do not email me for the shipping cost to an international destination before you bid, do not complain about the shipping cost. I use USPS Priority Mail for international destinations. It is cheaper than Fed Ex and UPS. I am not out to make money by charging outrageous shipping costs.
