Three simultaneously moving components controlled by three secondary components in Hard Top Retracting Kit. For assurance of faultless installation, all Kits  are to be completely assembled prior to shipping to dealer, ready to drop-on and secure to vehicle. NOTE: The above described Kit embodies the simplest apparatus of my total patent claims, required for these Mustangs, utilizing a single gear motor that does all the work. By bonified request we will forward designs and assembly, that demonstrate this simple drop on conversion principle and its parts.

A Single Gear Motor powers Roof section to rotate atop and fold against Back Window section, that is rotating atop descending Lid, all recessing substantially flush into cavity left by removed soft top and its mechanism, or fastback window.

AUTOMATIC - My patents include additional powered and mechanical options that will mechanically release roof from windshield, lift and retract roof as on Corvette Coupe. Patents also cover a manual muscle powered operating retraction mechanism.

These Hard Top Retracting Kits drop snugly over present body of 2005-08 Stang Soft Tops or Coupes. These Kits will be marketed to Ford Dealers, CarX, Stang and hotrod Clubs for aftermarket showcasing and installation to their customers. This Convertible Roof Retracting Kit is to be delivered to Dealer/Installers completely assembled. There are over 400,000 current Mustang Coupes and Mustang Soft Tops on the road today. We are projecting that at minimum,1% (6,000) of these owners would buy one of these Hardtop Retraction Kits from a dealer, over the next two or three years.

The Automotive Aftermarket Business has expanded into 38 billion dollar in annual sales. Even with the downturn in new vehicle sales, each year thousands of additional enthusiasts are having distinctive embellishing innovations added to their present cars and pickups (Ref: SEMA). This aftermarket is so huge that yearly, there are numerous conventions relating to this phenomena. The daddy of them all is the annual SEMA (Specialty Equipment Marketing Association) event held in Las Vegas, attracting 120,000 industry only personnel and company VIPs. No retail sales.

Browsing at Borders Book Store, you will find an entire section with over a 150 magazines devoted to giving individual expression to your Mustang, F150, Street Rod, or Hot rod, long after you have purchased your vehicle. Hundreds of firms in competition market automotive re-styling body kits - hoods - wings and spoilers - bumper covers - scoops - styling bars - tonneau covers - special lights - grills - emblems - parts for raising and lower chassis. There are also Specialty Car Dealers that put their distinctive add-on distinctions on new vehicles before offering them for sale, including firms like Roush, Shelby, and Saleen. 

But in all these Aftermarket Companies, not one has a simple mechanism to transform a Coupe, a Pickup or Soft Top Convertible into an eye catching, apart from the crowd, Hardtop Convertible.

NO COMPETITION

This is why we making this offer. We are ready to partner with a manufacturer of aftermarket products, to manufacture Hard Top Roof Retraction Kits. Unlike all of the above aftermarket products that are very competitive, my patented intellectual property cannot be duplicated by competitors. Therefore there will be no squeeze on profit margin, and there is no other aftermarket roof retracting Kit to be had. In addition to the above aftermarket business, these roof retracting systems are far less expensive for new vehicle manufacturers to add pizazz to their present lines, because engineering relates only to mechanisms, not an entire vehicle.

FOLLOW UP:

After our first Kit for converting Mustang Coupes and Soft Tops into a Hard Top convertibles is put on market, we will further market this patented technology to other brands of soft tops and coupes. We will also market to new or specialty vehicle manufacturers, with additional patent features that will diversify and enhance retraction assembly, enabling the Roof to adjust its movement forward and/or backward while retraction and closing, enabling Roof to unhook from windshield mechanically, and seat itself into designed cavity at a given sequence of movement desired.

FUTURE VEHICLES:

Corvette Coupe - This is the simplest one of all, although the sales volume would be much less. Only the fast back window is discarded. Then you drop-on assembled Kit, (embracing present lift off top), and secure to body. This Kit will cost maybe 25% more.

Down The Line - Eventually, this roof system can be incorporated in many manufacturers' current and future vehicles, from the least expensive, with merely the muscle powered manual roof retraction system, to sophisticated, completely automatic systems. The same basic Kit may be separately dimensioned for other brands of Coupe, Soft Tops, and Pickups.
