Liqud Jersey Bead & Rhinestone Corset Waist Evening Gown

No size marked. Approx. a modern size 4 or 6.

Wow! This is a spectacular liquid matte jersey red carpet-worthy vintage couture evening gown by famed designer to the stars and celebs, Bob Mackie. It's truly incredible, made in the 1980s when his career and fame was at its height. The plunging neckline, low plunging keyhole on the back, the body-molding jersey; and the corset bodice with loads of glittering water-clear rhinestones, as well as black, white, and silver bugle beads covering the center all harken back to the silver screen and classic Hollywood sirens. The corset waist is boned, the back zipper, zippers at the wrists, and the interior waist were all sewn exactingly by hand. Gathers at the front of the shoulder, long slit on the front, dramatic batwing sleeves.

I see this worn with a pair of silver flat sandals with clear rhinestones, Egyptian goddess style. This is an entrance-making, all-eyes-on-you, jaw-dropper of a gown.




Fabulous curved corset seamwork on the back.


Exquisite hand workmanship on the interior.


Back zipper and the two at the wrists were set in by hand.

Condition: Excellent, no beads or rhinestones are missing, no flaws noted.
