The manufacturing of such fabrics. is a long and rather laborers process comprising 38 stages. It
is necessary to say that this process and technic have remained the same till now. To manufacture
this kind of fabric first one thinks in advance on what figures and colors one will use. then
each string must be separated so that the colorings do not mix.

On the basis of ornament the yarn ties in those places where it is necessary to keep the initial
color and then is painted over. The master repeats this process for each color separately, from
light tones to dark until there is a yarn of colors. Having thus prepared the yarn it is then
placed in a weaving loom

where it gradually richly painted fabrics in magic moment turn to geometrical both vegetative
patterns and ornaments.

The fabrics executed the technic "ikat" which are a mix of cotton and silk they refer to the name
adras.
