Loop end can be pulled open or closed like a lariat, allowing you to tie your horse up safely and securely. Will not tighten against pressure from the horse pulling back because it locks in place. Fiador knot at chin gives added strength. Knots work off of pressure points at nose and poll -helps  in preventing your horse from learning to pull back. Pliable won't chafe your horses head.
