 Charles M Russell was born in 1864 and he first was exposed to the American West at 16 years old. We was known as a Cowboy who loved to draw. In 1893 his cowboy days came to an end...he grieved over the loss of the glorious old West and began to record its memory on canvas. His contribution to American culture by capturing on canvas the image of the glorious West cannot be overstated.
