Up for auction is a used bed for a 6” Craftsman Atlas 101 Lathe.  The manual lists this as being part number L9-1. 

This part was originally on a Model 101-07301 and will fit other model number variations similar to this lathe style. Model numbers were used to distinguish different bed lengths and whether it came with, or without a motor.  Most of the parts, with few exceptions are common.  If your head stock looks like the one currently listed in auction, this will fit your lathe.

The bed is 30 inches long and has the carriage traverse rack gear attached.  The ways are 7/16” thick and measure 4 5/8” wide.  The gap in the middle is 1 5/8” wide. 

The bed is in very good condition and has some dings and some minor pitting, nothing serious that would prevent it from being a replacement bed for one that has been cracked, or abused. 

This bed also serves as a good extension to increase the length of your lathe to allow you to spin longer lengths. I have supplied a number of beds to people that want to be able to spin a rifle barrel.  If you intend of bidding on this bed for this reason you will also need to bid on the feet, which are listed in another auction.

The bed weighs 27 pounds 0 ounces without packaging material.   We always combine shipments for a winner of multiple auctions unless there are size or weight issues.  Winner pays only actual shipping expenses – there are never any extra S&H charges.  We don’t invoice until after all auctions have closed unless requested to do so.  Local pickup is also an option.  This is a NO RESERVE auction.
