This is a standard 12 inch desk/table globe. There is no damage to the globe. The globe spins freely and has the degree marker than runs from pole to pole. The separate strip that delineates the equator is unbroken. The globe has Analemma showing the Sun's Declination for every day in the year. Also the equation of time. The globe is in terrific condition. There is no date on the globe but Russia is Russia and not the Soviet Union, which dates the globe at 1991 or after.. The MidEast and African countries are also what we are familiar with today. The globe still shows Hong Kong as part of the UK lease. UK's lease ended July 1, l997 so this globe was made between 1991 and 1997.
