This catalog contains quite a bit of information on how asbestos was used in the products they sold in 1960. Of particular interest, there are pages on crane valve packings and crane sheet packings and gaskets, composition disks, valves using asbestos packing, cranite gaskets, and cranite packing. Some of the pages are pictured below.

"Cranite is approved by the Underwriters' Laboratories, Inc. (National Board of Fire Underwriters), for use on hazardous liquids. ... Cranite is available in flat sheets (page 320), in finished cut gasket shapes (page 321 to 323), or for tongue and groove flange unions (page 292)."
The page on Composition Discs has descriptions of discs made out of asbestos, as well as discs made out of other material.
CONDITION: Good. Some wear to covers and edges. "Project Engineering" written to cover and book edges. There are some pages that have circling or other marks on them, but nothing that interferes with usability of the book's content.
