Due to a recent trade situation I am parting with my extra copy of the elusive yet highly desirable Creature From The Black Lagoon novelization by Vargo Statten with an original dust jacket . DJ wrapped in protective sleeve (reason for glare on the photo). DJ has been repaired from the inside with tape. Yet it remains very displayable and it is difficult to get this in any condition. Book is tight and complete with all pages intact and present.  If you collect photoplays, Universal Studios Monsters, movie tie ins, you know that the Creature from the Black Lagoon is always the most desireable classic movie monster and the most iconic 1950's classic sci-fi movie monster ever created.  The Creature easily joined ranks with Boris Karloff's Frankenstein Monster and Mummy, Bela Lugosi's Dracula, Lon Chaney's Wolf Man as a classic Universal Studios Monster.  Don't let this one slip by you. In the recent issue of Filmfax Plus (summer #121) there is a nice article by Jack Brewer about this book. This should signify its importance and rarity. According to Brewer, only 5,000 copies were ever printed with about 1/2 being hardback and 1/2 being softback. Of the remaining hardbacks he estimates that about 1/2 of those even have the dustjacket.
