The Crosley Radio Company does not sell on eBay and they do not honor any warranty of their product sold on eBay, unless sold by a Crosley Authorized Dealer.

Most of the Crosley product listed on eBay are from non-authorized sellers, and therefore do not have any Crosley warranty. The eBay listings, when listed by Crosley Authorized Dealers, will always state that they are authorized.

The Crosley Company, it's distributers, and it's dealer network keep a close watch. If the auction listings does not specifically state that the seller is an Authorized Crosley Dealer, then they are not. Five-in-One Entertainment Centers really do need to come with a factory warranty.

Be careful and be safe.








We do not sell Refurbished Crosley Lancaster Entertainment Centers (neither does Crosley). It appears that a number of eBay sellers do, even though they might not call those models reburbished.

Many eBay sellers call refurbished models by other names ie: overstock models, open box models, surplus models, dealer display models, shelf models, factory tested recertified models, reconditioned models, second chance Crosley's, and unbelievably some of those sellers simply list them as NEW.

The problem with that, is that a refurb by any other name is still a refurb. It is really simple, a refurbished model is generally nothing more than a customer returned item. An item that has been returned and repaired (maybe) at least once and very possibly repaired more than once. Many of those sellers claim that their Crosley "Lancasters" have been checked out 100% and that they all work fine, but if that is the case then why don't those sellers, offer any warranty on units that they say are in perfect working order? Yes, a few eBay sellers do offer a 3 day or 7 day return policy, (we have seen as high as 14 days) but the buyer has to pay to send the entertainment center back, and there is generally a restocking fee to boot. The real question is, why was it a return in the first place?

These are Entertainment Centers that have been shipped from Crosley to a Dealer, then to a buyer, then back to the dealer, then to another dealer or a Refurbisher that bought the return, and then finally to the new buyer. It is no wonder that those models sell for as low as $39.00 on ebay.

Crosley Warranty on reconditioned, refurbished, open box models, surplus models and/or display models: Zip, nada, none, not any, zero. The warranty if any, would have to come from the seller, and if the seller does not offer a warranty in his eBay listing, then they are being sold strictly As-Is. For the record Crosley is a great company, in fact one of the best that we have ever dealt with. They will bend over backwards to help ANYONE that purchases a product with the Crosley name on it. They will answer all questions to all consumers about any Crosley Product not matter where the Crosley product was purchased. Fact one: Crosley is the best manufacturer of Nostalgic Entertainment Centers in the world today. Fact two: Crosley does not sell Factory Refurbished models and therefore does not have any warranty on reburbished, reconditioned, surplus, open box, or "b" goods models. Crosley will always refer you back to the seller that you purchased from, when it comes to warranty on those type of models.

Nothing takes the fun out of buying on ebay more than a buyer receiving a defective item or a cosmetic flawed item. Be careful and be safe.



There is no warranty from Crosley on any refurbished Crosley "Lancasters" sold on eBay, no matter what the auction listing states. The Warranty from Crosley on a Brand New Lancaster CR42 is for one year (Parts & Labor). Most of these Entertainment Centers that are listed on eBay as surplus models or in many cases as new models have no warranty information listed. If the eBay auction listing does not state that there is a 1 year warranty on the Crosley Lancaster or if the listings states that there is a 30 day or a 90 day warranty, then the Lancaster you are buying is NOT new. You will not find a NEW Crosley Lancaster on eBay for under $150.00 that comes with a 1 year warranty, which means that they are at best refurbished models and at worst simply defective models that do not work.

Some of the eBay listings of "Crosley Lancasters" are NOT "Lancasters" at all, they are actually "Crosley Musicians". The Musician retails for $50.00 less then the "Lancaster" and has less features (Ex: no headphone jack on the Musician).

Some sellers are showing pictures of the "Musician" but calling them "Lancasters" in the auction title. The unsuspecting buyer thinks they are price shopping new "Lancasters" versus refurbished "Lancasters", but what they are actually bidding on and receiving are refurbished "Musicians" (CR704). The model number of a Crosley "Lancaster" is CR42. The model number of a Crosley "Musician" is CR704 / CR74. There is only 1 Crosley "Lancaster" and it is the CR42 and a NEW one comes with a one year warranty from Crosley, if sold by an Crosley Authorized Dealer.

There are some good sellers on eBay that sell refurbished Crosley Lancaster's from $39.00 to $49.00, but at least they represent those Crosley systems as being reburbished, and they use the correct model number (CR42) . Paying $39.00 for an AS-IS 5-in-1 Entertainment Center, where a lot can go wrong, maybe a good buy, but anything over $70 well.........

. If your budget requires that you need to purchase "B" goods, open box models, surplus models or refurbished models, then purchase it from a company like "Second Chance Crosleys"(eBay user ID nebargins), because at least that do offer a warranty themselves(14 day). Overall the best advise that I can give the Crosley Buyer, is to stay completely away from all refurbs and open box models, especially in 5-in-1 systems, where there is a lot that can go wrong, it is just not worth the grief.

We will have UPS or FedEx pick up the defective item from you at NO COSTS to you {Lower 48 USA shipments only}. You will not have to go to the trouble of finding a way to ship the item back, we will come to you.

A "3" Attempt Call Tag will be issued to pick up the defective item.  When we receive the item, we will repair or replace the item and return it at our expense.

The exchange item will be shipped prepaid to the buyer also at no additional charge {Lower 48 USA shipments only}.

The Consumer Electronics industry standard return policy, including all major manufacturers, and all national retailers {Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City, Etc.}, is for the Buyer to return the defective item at their own expense.

At Catvision Digital we pay for the defective item to be sent back, you do not.

Check your eBay auctions very closely, to see if the eBay seller is going to pay for the shipping costs, in both directions involved in sending back a defective item.

Most Ebay Sellers D.O.A. return policy is for 3-7 days, our policy is for 30 days.

The Crosley Gold Seal Dealer warranty is for 1 year.  If an item is defective within that time, but after the first 30 days, the buyer needs to follow the instructions on the warranty card included with every Crosley item. This calls for calling the telephone number listed on the warranty card, obtaining an RA #, etc.

Catvision Digital's Defective Item Policy applies to merchandise shipped within the Lower 48 US only.

All exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of the merchandise. Merchandise must be in original factory condition, and must include all original packaging materials, warranty cards, manuals and accessories.
