Up for bid is a Cross Axis Friction Machine in good used condition.Came out of an estate of a Mining Lube/Oil sales rep.This machine is used to measure the performance of extreme pressure lubricants.A roller bearing is subjected to pressure from a spinning race that is in an oil reservoir.I have seen similar machines used in various advertisements for engine treatments such as Duralube etc.(go to youtube for videos of similar machines in action-type in duralube and go from there,or google"Cross axis friction Machine").The pressure on the lever can be measured with a torque wrench,ammeter or weights(not included).As is due to age,but works fine.Features Belt drive,1/3 hp GE motor w/on/off switch-115 volt.Also includes approx.12 unused test roller bearings.Heavy!Weighs 40 lbs.Any ? just email me.Thanks for looking.
