I'm not sure if it is a collar button or a single cufflink. It is at least 40 years old and in very good condition. What you see on the mother of pearl button part is just dirt that I forgot to clean off before taking pictures. The brass back side is gold plated around the rim and bottom. The ears that stick out get pinched together into the base; this releases one half from the other for easy buttoning. 3/8" long; mother of pearl button has 5/16" diameter, brass back has 3/8" diameter.
