Custom Bowie Knife Hand Carving Buffalo Horn Handle

This big Beautiful one of a kind bowie knife was handmade and designed by Bruce Scales in the late 1994. It's his "baby". The wonderful eagle is handcarved from buffalo horn by using a hot razor which made  beautiful textured details. His eyes are made from a piece of jewelry I had at the time.

The beak is made of  brass as well as the bottom of the handle which he made to look like the claws feet of the eagle.

The handmade sheath was made specifically for this knife.

He will also include his origional drawing /sketch of his knife before it was made. Please excuse the stains, he fussed over this sketch while smokings ciggarettes and drinking coffee! 

This knife is not signed yet because he never planned on selling it, but I will get him to sign it before it is sent to you!

This large handmade Bowie knife with carved buffalo horn is 16 inches long with the brass handles extending  7 inches wide.

The eagle is 5 1/4 inches tall.

The stainless steel blade is 2 inches at it's widest point and 1/4 inch thick.

Bruce is a Gulf War Veteran , Knife maker, Blacksmith and Machinest in Kings Mountain N.C.  He was taught how to make knives many years ago in Texas by J.P. Moss a very well known  knife maker , who made knives for Clint Eastwood and other celebraties.
