This classic prestige format DC/Dark Horse crossover showcased Jurgens’ storytelling that had catapulted him to “Death of Superman” stardom and also Kevin Nowlan’s slick and meticulous flawless inking. The mastery of delineation adds to the atmosphere and cringe inducing Giger organic panel borders. The transition and balanced design within the first panel is like what you’d see from Kubrick. The life and death tension is recreated from Cameron. Jurgens and Nowlan made this an action packed horror tale unlike what we’ve seen before. This was one of the few high quality Superman works of the 90’s that wasn’t just an event driven ploy to sell the monthly. Good Luck!!!
