Hello, This is another Daniel Webster signed item I have. This item is a letter Mr. Daniel Webster wrote dated Mar. 29, 1839 in Boston to Hon. JOHN SARGEANT of Philadelphia. The letter is about Mr. Websters opinion of Mr. Hathaway, he writes that Mr. Hathaway is a young intelligent young man, I cannot make out the rest of the letter (Mr. Webster's writing is to hard to read), letter is signed at end of letter by Mr. Webster and also on the front of addresse. Letter is in original fold signed Daniel Webster on right side, addressed to Hon. John Sergeant Philadelphia Mr. Hathaway. Hon. John Sergeant an Arbitrador in the purchase of PEA PATCH ISLAND U.S PROPERTY OF THE U.S. MILITARY FACILITY, he played quite a roll of the era. I believe Mr. Daniel Webster was in the US Senate at the writing of this letter. Mr. Webster's senate years was from 1827-1841 - 1845-1850. The paper size is a tad under 7 1/2" tall 5" wide. Letter is quite nice condition all ink readable, not ripped or torn. Letter was in box in a old brown folder dated 1908. Super piece of American History. (Please Note I am not an Expert on this item so PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS I described the items just as I see them. All of my Daniel Webster items I have listed came from the same estate, never been on the market for sell. (I will combine shipping on multiple items no extra charges.)
