(Orange Records 210006-1311) David Peel was one of John Lennon's crowd during John's early heroin-induced revolutionary days when first living in New York City. Rumor is that Lennon first met him when Peel was playing some tunes in Central Park. There has always been some debate whether these hanger-on-er types were actual friends looking out for John's welfare at a tough time in his life or just leeching on to the fame hoping Lennon would support their "cause." Peel even recorded for Apple Records but reports were that Lennon never recorded with David Peel. (This recording is not on Apple.) Crinkly plastic shrinkwrap. 1977 release. *** The vinyl is still sealed and the cover is in perfect condition with no cut-outs, bent, or creased corners.
