A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.
Like prominences arcing from the molten surface of the Sun, so the loops of mineral staining on this lovely piece of Cherry seem to bloom like bursts of fire. Findings plated in 24k gold, this nifty holder is lined with nickel-plated brass, and will easily accommodate sewing, embroidery, or yarn needles, toothpicks, or even small beads. Personally, I use one of mine as a small pill box. Comes with an attachable key ring, or can be used as a necklace or on a chatelaine. Top screws on for security. Total length is three and one-eighth inches, and the diameter of the opening is a hair under 8mm. Heirloom quality.
All of my items are tested for durability and strength. They're not simply ornamental -- they are fully functional tools and ornaments created with the finest materials and techniques in order for you to have a tool that is both beautiful and works comfortably and efficiently at the same time... just as it should.
I like to use purely natural wood and stone whenever possible -- the wonderful colors and grains are just staggering! Occasionally I will use dyed wood or man-made materials to accent a piece; these will be noted above. Otherwise, consider each unique item as the handiwork of Mother Nature.
I've been a fiber artist for over twenty-five years, and now use my experience to design one-of-a-kind items: from the tools of the trade (crochet hooks, knitting needles, spinning tools, etc.) to items of personal adornment such as hairpins, jewelry, and much more!
There is a wonderful joy to owning and using finely crafted wooden items: they're smooth, warm, and have the potential to become cherished heirlooms. Every Daystar design is gently enveloped in a fabric pouch, and comes with a gift card. My work is 100% guaranteed. Please see my web site for a Care & Use Guide as well as other information. Each item is a unique work of art handcrafted by Katherine, a Master Fiber Artist, author, and woodworker.
