DAYSTAR Wood Needle/Toothpick Case/Pill Box ~Key Lime~

I hand-turned this little case from dyed and laminated hardwood whose bright colors are second to none! "Key Lime" Dyed Hardwood is composed of relaxing layers of indigo, turquoise blue, and lime green, reminiscent of a palm tree populated seaside; a relaxing sea under a brilliant sun. I love the patterns the colors make as they flow up the hook -- like steady sensuous waves of color caressing every curve. Findings plated in 24k gold, this nifty holder is lined with nickel-plated brass, and will easily accommodate sewing, embroidery, or yarn needles, toothpicks, or even small beads. Personally, I use one of mine as a small pill box. Comes with an attachable key ring, or can be used as a necklace or on a chatelaine. Top screws on for security. Total length is three and one-eighth inches, and the diameter of the opening is a hair under 8mm. Heirloom quality.

I like to use purely natural wood and stone whenever possible -- the wonderful colors and grains are just staggering! Occasionally I will use dyed wood or man-made materials to accent a piece; these will be noted above. Otherwise, consider each unique item as the handiwork of Mother Nature.
