Made by Dean's Rag Book Company Britain's Oldest Teddy Bear Maker Founded in 1903. Miss Bruno was produced  to commemorate the formation of their compay in 1903. These bears were lovingly reproduced from line drawings in one of the earliest catalogues illustrating teddy bears. This was the Kuddlemee Catalogue of 1915 a name incorporated under the Dean's Rag Book Co. banner primarily for the production of soft toys and teddy bears, which were in short supply at that time due to the First World War. Each bear is presented in a display box complete with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Neil Miller, the current Managing Director of the Dean's Rag Book Company Limited and a special 16 page booklet illustrating different aspenct of Dean's long and varied history.  A numbered certificate of authenticity is inside the box. Smokefree. The lid for this box was a clear plastic and is no longer intact, this bear was stored in the orignal Dean's bag. I am showing Mr. Bruno he is not part of this auction, but he is for sale on another one of my auctions at the same time.
