A beautiful 6 1/2" tall HAND BLOWN exquisite DEEP PURPLE antique quack HAIR GROWER bottle. This is a WESTERN BOTTLE.
This is a western bottle, it was registered in Portland, Oregon, in 1891. These come in clear/amethyst and cobalt blue, the clear ones are the earliest ones used. This bottle has been exposed to a high heat/light source to enrich the purple color that would naturally occur if exposed to sun light for a prolonged period of time. With few exceptions, only clear bottles from before 1914 will turn this sun-colored-amethyst color. Not only does this color authenticate is as being a true antique, but makes it a great looking bottle in this advanced sun-colored amethyst color. A choice sounding bottle with the quack 'SKOOKUM ROOT HAIR GROWER' embossing, and western too! Check it out!
Terms of Sale: Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction. We put our 30+ years of experience in antiques to use in describing every item we list. Items are sold in a store front format and your ‘buy it now’ purchase is a binding contract. Please ask questions and completely read the item description before purchasing. We have found that communication is the key to successful transactions. Returns: See details at bottom of the page. Insurance: Insurance is mandatory for sales over $50 and optional for sales under $50. If you elect to forego insurance and do not receive your item within two weeks of posted ‘payment received’ date, let us know and we will confirm shipment date and, if needed, provide a copy of the postal receipt as proof of shipping. But beyond this, we have no way of tracking an uninsured item through the US Postal Service once it has been shipped, so you will have to take it up with you Post Office. We will not refund uninsured shipments nor will we engage in endless email correspondence on the matter. We package very carefully and always use the USPS for delivery. Please check our feedback comments to confirm our careful-packaging history. International Shipping: We have enjoyed shipping antique bottles all over the world and are happy to offer our bottles to international bidders. We will only put the actual sale price as the declared value on the custom forms. Our auctions state that shipping is ‘more if international’,please feel free to contact us before buying, for an international shipping estimate. We will require insurance on international purchases over $100 which means the package must be shipped Global Priority at a higher shipping cost. If international buyer requests, we can insure lesser valued items, but be prepared, this usually comes at a very high cost. Thank you! |
