For your consideration is one of the most popular vintage doll playsets ever: the Deluxe Reading Dream Kitchen. This set has loads of character that you just can't find in today's cheap Made-In-China Barbie items. This toy was manufactured by Deluxe Reading Topper Toys around 1961. The kitchen features sleak Eames Era styling and retro multi-colored appliances of teal, yellow, taupe and pink! There's even a Jello mold, just like Mom used to make. This kitchen still has most of its hard-to-find accessories! There are tons of food boxes, pots, dishes and silverware. This set and all of its accessories are completely original and vintage. Everything in the photos is included, except the Midge doll.  This comes from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

ITEMS INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION: 

FOOD AND CLEANING SUPPLY BOXES (from left to right in the photos): Rex Winow Wax, Diamond Crackers, Ace All-Purpose cleaner, Rex Wax Paper, Deluxe Corn Bits, Ace Soap Pads, Star Soap Powder, Star Cleanser, Diamond Four Pack of Foods, Diamond Coconut Cookies, Deluxe Tea Bags, Rex Wrap Foil, Rex Detergent, Diamond Saltines in Checkered Box, Star Spakling Flakes, Rex Soap Powder (looks just like the old Tide box), Diamond Lemon Cookies, Vanilla Ice Cream, Diamond Three Variety Pack of Foods, (most boxes in very good to excellent condition, some boxes have minor wear, one box (Ace cleaner) has some small tears).

FOOD LOOSE OR ON PLATES : pile of greens, chocolate cake, orange fruit cubes, grilled cheese sandwich with pickle on top, fried egg sandwich, 5 assorted fruits, large ham, jello mold, 4 assorted fruits and vegetables, white cake with strawberries, pile of colorful fruit, plate with three sandwiches, large plate with loaves of bread, two sides of beef, roast, another fried egg sandwich, another grilled cheese sandwich with pickle on top (most of these are in excellent condition, a few have some minor slits to the edges of the paper), big turkey on a spit, eggs in an yellow carton, and 4 bottles of milk (one top has some scratches) and three bottles of soda pop.

SILVERWARE: flatware for four people, including four knives, four forks, four spoons~that represents complete silverware for this Deluxe Reading set and all it ever came with according to the references.

DISHES, POTS, PANS, SERVING UTENSILS: Pots: two large sauce pans, one small sauce pan, two large frying pans, one small frying pan, one large Dutch-oven-type pot with lid (the pot is slightly mis-shapen so the lid doesn't stay on straight, pots and pans have loss of silver color and some browning), Dishes: 6 green plates, 6 blue plates, 6 red plates, 5 green saucers, 6 red cups (two of the cups have very fine hairlines but not broken), 4 serving utensils (have loss of silver patina)

4 CHAIRS, 1 TABLE, 4 APPLIANCES: Chairs: excellent and useable condition, will easily support Barbie's weight, no broken legs, White Kitchen Table: excellent overall condition, deep scratch near the edge on one side; Appliances: the white hoses in tact on the appliances, knobs all present, and all appliances have wear to the silver faux chrome patina. There are four black bins present so water can be run through the sink and dishwasher. Dishwasher: water runs through fine, all hoses present, loss of color to the faux metal patina, both black bins present, dishwasher rack present; Sink: water runs through fine, all knobs and hoses in tact, both black bins present, clip that holds the black bin on is missing, missing the inside towel holder on the lower door, it looks as though there may have been a glue repair to the yellow wall backing; Oven: big turkey on a rotisserie spit inside, all knobs present, pot rack present, some loss of color to the silver metal patina, the oven was tested and the burner bulb lights and the turkey spins, however, the strap that holds the batteries in place is missing, copper wire contacts have been added and the battery top nubs must make contact with the copper for the motor to run, the cupboards and wall backing over the stove leans forward rather than being perfectly straight up, Refrigerator: has two working pull out metal shelves, fridge handle a little loose, otherwise excellent condition, only minimal wear to the silver. Once again: please note, wear to the silver patina is present on all appliances. Overall, these appliances are fragile due to their age. It is very old plastic.

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS: yellow dish rack in excellent condition, 2 ice cube trays with both ice cube sheet inserts present and 2 clear veggie bins (bins show some minor scratches)...Whew!

I have tried to describe and photograph this set as exhaustively as possible. Keep in mind that this playset set is a vintage/antique item so there may be minor imperfections not noted here.  Please review all the photos for further information on condition. Ask for more photos if you need them. Given the nature of the many delicate pieces of this playset and its vintage age, I cannot make gaurantees on the electrical or other functionality, but I've described it honestly and to the best of my ability.
