Auction is for (1) DEPRESSION GLASS-- AMBER-- "MADRID" 7" SOUP BOWL.
This was made by Federal Glass Co. 1932 to 1939. It is in GOOD condition with just one small (very very small) ding on the outer edge. (Picture 2) There are no other chips or cracks. Believe this has been smoothed off. This measures 7" across. It is a beautiful amber color. WONDERFUL BOWL--GREAT CONDITION. You will see flaws in this type of glass because of the way it was made. Some have specks, bubbles, little bumps and some have what look like hairline cracks. Seams are very noticeable. Even with its flaws I love this glass. I started collecting Depression Glass 40 years ago. Most of these dishes were purchased from an elderly ladies sale back in the 80's. I am slowly selling off most of my collection. This is one of many I have in the Amber Madrid pattern. Please check my site for more patterns.
