Comes with the old kiting harness pictured. The wing is a M, so for someone weighing between 130-180lbs (60-80kgs)
I have a difficult time describing this paraglider. The fabric and lines are in great condition with few hours on them (I estimate less than 30), and I have flown it off of numerous mountains. It is a Flight Design Sv2, and has trim tabs that could allow someone to paramotor with it. The wing, however, is exactly 10 years old (date on the tag 1998), and the safety of paraglider design has improved by an order of magnitude in the past 10 years. Furthermore, though it has been very carefully repaired it did incur a tear of several inches towards one of the edges (photo included).
As I am newly married and no longer take the chances I used to, I recently bought a newer (used) 1-2. I would strongly recommend that no one use this wing for anything but learning how to paraglide (kiting, ridge soaring, training slope takeoff and landings, and paramotoring no higher than thirty feet). As such, it would be perfect. It is hard to get a DHV 1 or 1-2 for less than 800-900 dollars US, and a 1-2 is even safer for learning in higher wind coastal sites. Your first wing takes a huge beating, and you wouldn't want to tear anything more expensive up.
Do not, I repeat, do not try to learn on your own. Too many people have been picked up and dropped with broken bones, or dragged across rocky terrain, because they tried to go out when it was windy without knowing a couple simple things. Pay an instructor at least 200 bucks or so for a day of learning how to kite in moderate wind, practice for a couple of weeks, and then pay him/her another 200 to learn how to take off and land from a training hill. You could then have a blast with this wing at the coast ridge soaring some dunes. If I lived on the West Coast I would keep this wing as just such a toy.
After a few months, you'll know if you want to invest in a nicer wing, harness, and reserve, pay an instructor to teach you how to fly, and head into the mountains. Good luck bidding!

If you recognize this listing, it is because the previous winning bidder never sent payment nor responded to multiple attempts to contact them. I'm afraid that is why I must now insist upon bidders having a paypal account.
