My Hawaii made fused glass is a variety of special art glass and dichroic glass carefully assembled and fired to as high as 1500 degrees.  These pendants feel soft and cool on your skin. They are not sharp or poky. The melting in the kiln causes the glass to soften and have no sharp edge. And..they are tough! I have bounced cabochons off the side walk to test their hardness and they didn't even chip!

Dichroic glass is very hard to photograph, to really capture the chameleon like change in color, the special effects of Dichroic.  Your One-of-a-Kind Dichroic Glass pendent has a Silver or Gold Plated Bail and will come with a free satin ribbon to wear your pendent, you can use a gold or silver necklace, the bail has a big enough opening to accommodate a small sized chain or buy different color ribbons for fun!.  Always remember, be sure the bow is tight.  If you get a knot, it usually comes free or just cut off and use another ribbon.

    Dichroic Glass:  was first developed for scientific applications such as lasers and space mirrors. Vaporized metal oxides are deposited on very thin glass in a specialized vacuum chamber. The type of metal oxides used and the number of layers determines the final color. There are no pigments used in dichroic glass. The raw material is perfectly clear. The colors in the glass are produced by the visible light being bent in a prism effect, exactly like what occurs in rainbows and dragonfly wings. Unlike dyes or pigments which absorb 50 percent of the light, about 95 percent of the light in dichroic glass is reflected back to your eyes. This phenomena accounts for the unusual brilliance of the glass.
