GENERAL INFO & FEATURES: This is one serious synthesizer and quite a find for you collectors out there. Its one of the most complex digital synthesizers ever, using additive synthesis and a type of FM synthesis to create very complex digital sounds. Wendy Carlos is probably the best known Synergy user - she obviously appreciates it for its excellent ability to recreate complex acoustic instrument sounds. Please seach the web for more information about the Synergy if you're not familiar with it. One site estimates that out of the 700-800 supposedly produced, only 100 are in working order.

CONDITION & DETAILS: This item is in very good shape for a used item of its type and age. We normally know everything there is to know about the gear we sell but the Synergy's a rare exception because we've never had the space to work with one in the studio over an extended period. Because of our unfamiliarity and the fact that a few features are a bit complicated to the unfamilar, not every feature on this Synergy was tested 100% but the majority were and worked fine. There are a few great sounds on board as well. There are a few scratches on the top and some on the tolex but these are nothing major. Most of the scratches dont penetrate the paint layer. Overall, it looks fine.  We have no reason at all to think there's anything wrong with this unit but because this is a large, complicated piece of vintage electronics, we should emphasize that this is a strictly as is and final sale.  EMAIL US FOR MORE / BETTER PHOTOS! Shipping costs will be calculated after the end of the auction.  There will be a $35 charge to pack this item - this is our approximate cost of the new materials we will require.  You will also be responsible for paying whatever it costs us to ship this item.  We entered $100 into the shipping calculator because it should cost close to this to ship via UPS due to size.  (UPS will be the only option) International bidders please email for permission to bid!  UPS will probably charge $400-500 or more to ship this item internationally and this is the only option we're able to use at the moment.  So if you're not prepared to pay this amount, please don't bid.  If you have a contact in the US, we would be happy to accept payment from them and ship to them - freight consolidators will probably offer much cheaper shipping.   There's a chance we would consider using BAX Global instead - if you're interested, contact us to discuss.
