One day my little DoeDoe (a Dachshund) lost the use of her back legs, and after going to our vet then to the local University Veterinary Hospital for surgery and $3.000 dollars later, I was told that she may never have the use of her back legs. Since there was a chance she would need a cart I started looking around and what I found I did not like. Either they were very big and bulky or they were made out of plastic that strapped to the dogs body and looked very uncomfortable.

Well not all is lost because I have the knowledge to manufacture products, so out to my shop I go, and after some trial and error and about three months later, I have what I feel is the best looking and useful dog cart on the market today, and at less then half of the cost of what others are charging, with real wheels, a sturdy welded metal frame, with a baked on silver/vane powder coat gloss finish, an adjustable seat and wheels, Plus a custom made adjustable harness to match your dogs size to the cart. What you should know if you are looking to buy a dog cart

I have been selling dog carts for a long time and for dogs with all kinds of needs. I am always coming across people that buy carts for there dogs that just do not work. I once watched the same cart being sold on Ebay 4 times, that's because carts need to be made to fit your dogs size. Just because the cart is or was for a small dog, it does not mean it will fit yours. Time and time again I have sold carts to people that came to me after they wasted their time and money on ( no waiting, sale!!! ebay cheepies, Xmas Special or used carts) just to find out they do not work ( see one such e-mail received below) So if you are going to buy a cart, get it made to fit the measurements of your dog, and you will save yourself some time, money, and most of all your dog will be happy

And beware of carts that come from overseas, if you have to send it back you may stuck with the shipping cost both ways, total $80.00

Hi Rob, Thank you so much for Pumpkin's monogrammed bandana. It is adorable. She took to it right away--just like she took to her wheels. She has learned to run through the grass on her wheels and I almost lost her yesterday while I was gardening. I wasn't aware that she could go so fast through the grass. The neighbors are really enjoying watching her as she struts down the street with her nose in the air. She has adopted a way of walking where she sort of bounces and turns her head side to side. Neighbors stop and say that they have seen dogs on wheels on T.V. but never in person. When Pumpkin is on her wheels, she can't understand why she can't climb the stairs or jump on the sofa. Her whole attitude changes when she is wheel bound. She looks and acts just like she did before. One little lady (also a Yorkie owner) cries when she sees her on her wheels. They are tears of happiness because she can see that Pumpkin is happy again. I am working on Pumpkin's Holloween costume which will incorporate her wheels. I will email a photo. Rob: Emily, our 15 year old Llaso Alpso, loves her Doxie cart! Initially, she was a little frightened while we were fitting her, but once she figured out she could walk, her tail started wagging and she made her way down the hall to me! When it is time to go outside, she comes right to the Doxie cart and I really believe she gets excited at the prospect of walking and exploring outside again. She is building up her stamina, as she has been quite inactive for several months, but each time she goes out, she lasts a little bit longer. She is able to go to the bathroom very easily in the cart which had become a big problem as she needed someone to hold her up. So many people have stopped and commented on how happy she looks and what a nifty design the cart is. Thank you so much for helping Emily. You have given her mobility and independence again! I plan to take her to our vet and show them how well she adapted to the cart and recommend them for other animals in Emily's condition. Emily has arthritis and luxating patellas in both legs which means her rear legs give out especially on hardwood or smooth floors. I would highly recommend the cart for any dog that has limited or no use of their back legs. We have the cart set so that Emily is able to bear a small amount of weight on her back legs with the cart to enable her to move her legs and help with joint flexibility. Thank you again! Rob, Just a note to let you know we recieved Freckles' wheel chair. Because he is so mobil anyway, he took to it like it was part of him. He did just stand there for a moment..but the second he realized he could walk in it..he hasn't stopped. I had to take him out of it as I was worried his front legs may get real sore from inactivity...and I could tell he didn't like it at all....as set it on the floor next to his daytime bed..and he scooted real close to it..and I could tell by his constant whimpering..he wanted back in it...so I did for a little bit! Now the great news...I did as instructed as far as cutting out the leg holes..and weenie slot last night...today..I put his legs through it...and at first I thought he was just going to let his knuckles drag...as the chair was exactly the right height when the holes were cut out...he took about ten steps...and then started picking up his back feet...and actually walking on all fours! I was literally shocked...I have been giving him the extra strong vitamins I had read about...plus putting him in my tub jaccuzzi every evening for about 45 minutes....but I never expected these kinds of results! The doctor that did the surgery said the surgery was a success as far as cleaning out the broken disc and bones...but said he was highly doubtful he would ever walk again as he still had no deep pain or feeling what so ever! Well, I do believe in miracles...and we have certainly witnessed one with him. Later today..when it quits raining, I plan on making a mini dvd..which I will switch over to a regular size dvd and send you a copy of him walking...then if you would take a look at it..and tell me if there is anything else I can do better..or any exercise....or how much time I should let him be in his chair...etc. I just know in time he will be back walking...maybe with a limp or wobbley...but at least walking on his own. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you thanks for your chair...and your patience with me....when you live on Social security....it is hard to make things like this happen...so with your chair..(as you seem to be the only one out there with an affordable wheelchair) I truly thank you! Freckles is so happy to be mobil again...and I know in time..he will be walking as the way your chair is set up..it allows him to use his back legs...and actually walk! He even got excited a couple of times and started running in it...and although he dragged his feet some of the time...and I had to slow him down so he could use all fours...he just loved it.
