You are bidding on a page from a scarce book, published over 85 years ago. It shows a VERY unusual view of field stone and earth war dog kennels-- some triple story. It looks to be housing for at least 6 dozen or more dogs.
The caption reads: "DOGVILLE, By the Trenches." I had always wondered what a K9 field camp in WWI looked like. I assume these were messenger dogs because the accompanying text discuss the training of a French War Dog named Marquis.
This is NOT a recent copy or modern reproduction, but a GENUINE item over 85 years old. It would look wonderful framed as a gift for the dog enthusiast!
Below the picture is the start of the story, which continues onto another page (included).
The pages are in excellent condition. The page measures approx. 5 x 7.5 inches, and the picture (without margins) is approx. 2.5 x 3.75 inches.
All prints are delivered in an archival sleeve and packed flat with heavy cardboard. I stand behind my products and offer a FULL REFUND if you think the product does not match the description in any way.
