ANTIQUE DOUBLE-SIDED PILE-WOVEN AFSHAR CHANTEH VANITY BAG, Southern Persia, Kerman Province, late 19th to early 20th century, and in near MINT original condition. The exact size is: 11" x 12" (28 x 30 cm). Each side has a different design on this lovely old personal carry bag. All of the dyes are natural and the pile condition is full with no wear or abrasions from age use. Very nice wool quality. The side cords have been re-wrapped in places. This bag has been opened up to be hand washed and can easily be sewn back together along the sides if desired. Double sided pile woven Afshar bags are quite rare. This lovely old specimen will make a nice addition to any collection of antique Persian tribal and nomadic weavings.
