The LEDs are rated for 2,500 hours and with normal use should last many years. LEDs are not like light bulbs with filaments, but have solid state chips inside.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
How often can you use the DPL?
When using the system for beauty (the face) we recommend 2 treatments twice a day for 10 weeks to achieve the maximum results. You can do back-to-back treatments if you like (18 minutes at one time). After 10 weeks, you move to a maintenance program which can be one treatment daily, once every two days; it really varies from person to person and what is required to keep your skin up. Most customers tend to continue using 3-5 times per week for their maintenance program.
How much time do you need to wait between uses?
When using for areas of pain, we recommend 2-3 or even 4 consecutive treatments (i.e., arthritis, sore muscles, tension in neck, etc.) at one time. This can be done as many times per day as desired. For example, my husband does 3 treatments right in a row, twice a day, on his knees, after he?s golfed. I will do 3 treatments on my shoulders after work for pain relief.
Can you use on a different part of your body right away?
Yes, you can use on different parts of your body and the Velcro strap is included for easy adhering.
Only the middle row of lights come on, is this correct? What are
the other ones for?
There are 10 red LEDs (penetrating 660 nm) and 72 infrared LEDs (penetrating 880 nm) on each panel. The infrared lights penetrate much deeper than the red lights, thus making them more beneficial. They can?t be seen by the naked eye ? sometimes using a cell phone or a special high-speed camera to look through, when the system is on, will show the infrared LEDs on. As long as you have 10 red lights on each panel, your system is working perfectly.
