DVD Perfect Practice Kristie Peterson & Bozo

Colorado cowgirl Kristie Peterson went to the 1998 National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas with a slim lead in the world barrel racing standings. Shel left 10 days later with her fourth world championship following a spactacular performance by her fleet-footed partner, Bozo. At the Finals, Kristie also captured her fifth consecutive NFR average title, something no one had done before in the 40-year history of the championship rodeo. Her 1998 earnings of $212,998 was a Women's Professional Rodeo Association record, as was her $99,000 in prize money from the NFR. Unlike most full-time barrel racers, Kristie doesn't travel hard year-round. In fact, she competed in only 53 rodeos during her record-setting season.

Kristie is always quick to credit Bozo, who has earned the admiration of other barrel racers, as well. In 1998, Bozo was voted the horse with the Most Heart by the WPRA's barrel racers for the fouth consecutive year. The 12-year-old gelding also received his fourth WPRA/AQHA Barrel Racing Horse of the Year title.

In eight years of professional competition, Kristie and Bozo have carved out their own chaper in the history books of barrel racing, and they're not finished yet!
